HTC recently announced the upcoming availability of the One X+ Android phone in India. However, this won’t be the only smartphone launched by the Taiwanese handset maker in India this month.

The latest Windows Phone 8 devices manufacturer by HTC will arrive in India this month. Customers will be able to purchase the HTC 8X for Rs 35,023 (650 USD or 505 EUR) and the HTC 8S for Rs 19,260 (360 USD or 280 EUR) outright.

Keep in mind that the 8X will come in a variety of colors, including California Blue and Graphite Black, while the 8S will be available in Fiesta Red and Atlantic Blue.

According to HTC, both smartphones will be available via Best Buy, but other authorized resellers are likely to offer the Windows Phone 8 devices as well.

HTC fans will be happy to know the company integrated its Beats Audio technology inside both devices, as well as the ImageSense technology for the camera.

Moreover, the 8X features HTC’s first 2.1-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture, 88° ultra-wide angle front-facing camera, which allows up to four people and more to be captured at once, the handset maker claims.

The 8-megpaixel rear camera features a sensor with backside-illumination (BSI), allowing for improved low-light performance. It also features an HTC ImageChip, autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

HTC Windows Phone 8X is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor, while the 8S is equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU.

“Windows Phone has clearly emerged as one of the top mobile ecosystems and is competitive against any other smartphone platform in the world. We are confident that the iconic design and incredible innovation of the Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S by HTC will help consumers fully realize the potential and lifestyle benefits offered by these smartphones,” said Faisal Siddqui, country head, HTC India.
