As expected, Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile has just added the HTC 8S to its portfolio. We reported a few days ago on the upcoming release of the smartphone and it looks like Virgin has kept its promise.

Windows Phone fans can purchase the HTC 8S from Virgin Mobile for only $280 / €220 upfront, or for as low as $80 / €60 on SuperTab. Check it out here.

The less-featured HTC smartphone powered by Windows Phone 8 platform comes with a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, an Adreno 305 GPU and 512MB of RAM.

Furthermore, the device packs only 4GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). On the back, HTC 8S sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.

It is also worth mentioning that the 8S features a decent 4-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, along with Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
