Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just released a new version of HTC Sync 3.0, the desktop application that can be used for connecting a HTC handset running under Google's Andorid operating system with a desktop PC running Windows. The new version of HTC Sync, namely 3.0.5481, was made available with support for the following devices: HTC Desire, DROID ERIS by HTC (Verizon), DROID INCREDIBLE by HTC (Verizon) , HTC Aria (AT&T) , HTC EVO 4G (Sprint) , T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide.

According to the mobile phone maker, the new software solution version comes with the following changes:

1. Support “Group” syncs in Contact 2. Extend Calendar Sync period to 1 year 3. Add “My favorite” item support for Contacts The application can be installed on desktop PCs with minimum requirements that include an Intel Pentium III or higher processor, 1GB of RAM or higher, XGA (1024 x 768) or higher-resolution video adapter, 60 MB of available free hard disk space, and USB 2.0.

The application is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. When installing it, one should consider closing all apps on the computer, and exiting the anti-virus program.

“You can use HTC Sync to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your phone,” the mobile phone maker notes on its website.

“It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your phone,” the handset vendor continues.

The file can be easily installed on a computer, and offers support for Outlook 2003 32/64bit, Outlook 2007 32/64 bit, and Outlook 2010 32bit.
