Not much given all its features

HTC Touch Diamond is definitely one of the hottest mobile devices that will be released this year - hence most of us expect its price to be a high one. Until now, HTC didn't announce how much the Diamond would cost, but it seems the high-end touchscreen phone could even have a retail price of less than $800. Which is far from passing as affordable, but it's surely less than most mobile users thought the Diamond would be priced at.

The "less than $800" detail was spotted on the Taiwanese online retailer ePrice, together with a full presentation of Touch Diamond, made by Horace Luke, one of the important persons behind the handset. ePrice mentions that the device will be available for a retail price of 23,900 Taiwan dollars, which currently means $783 or 503 Euros. Sure, this is not official - and even if it were, it could be only the price for Taiwan. But since prices usually don't differ too much, we can hope the Diamond will cost around $800 on all the markets where it will be launched.

Back to the presentation of HTC's new high-end smartphone, we've found out new details about the device. For example, its stylus is a magnetic one and the Bluetooth 2.0 supports both EDR and A2DP. Moreover, although some of you surely wish so, the Diamond won't have any other color version than the original black one.

Measuring only 102 x 51 x 11,5 millimeters, weighing 110 grams and coming with a stylish diamond pattern on the back case, the new HTC Touch is really a rare mobile device. Its features include a 2.8 inch TFT display with 640 x 480 pixels, an intuitive and innovative TouchFlo 3D user interface, tri-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.2 Megapixel with auto focus, 4GB of internal memory and so on.

HTC Touch Diamond is due to be released in June, when we'll find out if its price is indeed only about $800.
