At the same time with the highly-featured Touch HD, HTC has unveiled two other new Pocket PCs, the Touch 3G and Touch Viva, both of which come with a similar form factor that resembles the old and simple-named HTC Touch.

"The HTC Touch 3G and Touch Viva embody our commitment to build a family of touch phones that are powerful and stylish but also offer something to everyone. Whether you’re a professional or a student you can now get an HTC touch phone with a beautiful touch user experience," stated Peter Chou, HTC's president and CEO.

As its name suggests, HTC Touch 3G brings HSDPA 3G connectivity (900 / 2100 MHz) plus quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz). Based on the design of the original HTC Touch, the case of Touch 3G measures 102 x 53.6 x 14.5 millimeters, weighs 96 grams and packs the following: a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, Windows Mobile 6.1, TouchFLO user interface (sans the 3D featured in the Touch HD), a 3.15 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, internal GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and EDR, document viewer and editor, full HTML browser, email, a Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU at 528 MHz and so on.

HTC Touch 3G packs an 1100 mAh battery capable of providing up to 360 minutes of talk-time or up to 450 hours of stand-by time. The handset will start shipping in October, in no less than four color versions: black, gold, brown and blue, for a price that is not known yet.

HTC Touch Viva is the poor cousin of Touch 3G, and it comes with a processor that runs at just 201 MHz, a 2 Megapixel camera and quad-band GSM connectivity only (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz). Aside from these features, the Viva is not too different from the Touch 3G, including even GPS and Wi-Fi.

HTC Touch Viva should be on sale at the same time with the Touch 3G, in only one color version: Storm Gray. Its price is also unknown, but it will probably be about $100 lower than the one of the Touch 3G.
