The device maker is expected to launch a few new devices

Last week, it was revealed that HTC would hold a press event next month, during which the device maker is expected to launch a Go Pro-style life-logging action camera.

But the invites for the big day didn’t reveal much and only read “Double exposure.” So we had to wonder.

Since HTC is mostly known for its mobile business (mostly smartphones), it doesn't make sense for the company not to bring to the event a few products from this category.

You might not be aware that HTC has a production facility set up in Brazil, and now a Portuguese source (via 4G News) provides us with some info related to the devices we’re going to see make an appearance in the world next month.

Nexus 9 will arrive next month

One of the most talked about upcoming Nexus devices is the HTC-made tablet coming in with an 8.9-inch display.

The slate was expected a while back, but Google and HTC have been holding off the announcement for various reasons.

But according to the sources familiar with the matter inside the supply chain, HTC will finally unveil the tablet at their event scheduled for October 8.

If you think the date seems familiar, we should remind you that earlier leaks have talked about the tablet being unveiled before October 9. Well, this fits in the scenario just perfectly.

The Nexus 9 is expected to arrive with a FHD display and NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. On the other hand, we have been told that the tab will be the first to take advantage of 64-bit Android L with 4GB of RAM, but apparently the source says this is no longer the case. So we’re thinking KitKat, right?

HTC Eye selfie camera

On top of the Nexus 9, HTC is also expected to announce the HTC Eye selfie-friendly camera which, according to leaks, should come with a 5.2-inch FHD display and run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, the same chipset the HTC One (M8) and Butterfly 2 run on.

GoPro-Style Action Camera

The report last week mentioned that the company was looking to make an entry in the camera business with the advent of a “tube-shaped” GoPro-like camera taking advantage of 16MP sensor with ultra-wide-angle lens. The camera will connect with Android and iOS operating systems and come equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

It sounds like the October 8 event is going to be quite an interesting one, so keep checking back with us for coverage.
