Specific info on when would Verizon Wireless make the HTC ThunderBolt available for purchase on the market emerged for the time being, but more clues that this could happen very soon emerged.

We already talked about Verizon flyers stating that the smartphone is already available for purchase on in the United States, and now we should have a look at a special HTC ThunderBolt showcase application that made an appearance on the Android Market.

This software is not meant for end-users, but for being used in Verizon Wireless' stores as a promotional tool, the description of the app unveils.

“Do not download or install this application, it is intended solely for use within Verizon Stores as a promotional tool,”one can read when accessing the app on the Android Market website.

The application was published on March 10th, which, accompanied with the appearance of the aforementioned flyer at current Verizon users, suggests that the previous rumors on ThunderBolt's launch on this day might have been accurate in the first place.

However, Big Red pushed back the release of this device to an unknown date, most probably over problems with the battery life of the handset, or due to issues with some of the applications that should be included with its LTE smartphones.

The guys over at Droid-life suggest that Skype would be one of the said apps, while also suggesting that Big Red was indeed gearing up to launch the smartphone today, March 10th, as previous rumors suggested.

Some stores were asked to demo “4G SIM cards and submit the SIM IDs to be activated for Thunderbolt demo units today,” the news site notes.

All in all, no details on the exact landing of Verizon's fist LTE-capable handset emerged for the time being. Whether that would happen soon after iPad 2's launch, or closer to the end of the first half of the ongoing year, it remains to be seen.
