HTC ThunderBolt, the first Android-based smartphone that Verizon Wireless has launched on its airwaves with 4G LTE capabilities on board, is now available for purchase for only $129.99 via Amazon Wireless.

The price tag is available for users interested in the purchase of the new device with a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier. The offer is time limited, it seems, and should end at midnight Pacific Time on Monday.

The smartphone is an impressive device, and its availability at a much lower price than what Verizon is asking for it should make it even more appealing than before.

As stated above, the ThunderBolt is the first 4G LTE smartphone at Verizon, sporting a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, complemented by fast 1GHz application processor,

“One of the world's first 4G LTE Android smartphones, the HTC ThunderBolt 4G for Verizon Wireless takes advantage of the fastest, most advanced 4G network in America,” Amazon notes on its website.

“It's powered by a lightning-quick 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and offers a vibrantly colorful 4.3-inch Super LCD multi-touch display. Capture brilliant photos and HD 720p video with the 8-megapixel camera on the rear, and enjoy video call capabilities with the front-facing camera.”

The mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, and offer support for Adobe Flash 10.1, which should provide users with a rich Internet browsing experience through playing games, watching videos, and more.

The features list of this device also includes support for the carrier's 3G network, in addition to 4G LTE radios, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and Mobile Hotspot capabilities, or DLNA.

The HTC ThunderBolt sports 8GB of internal memory, complemented by a 32 GB pre-loaded microSD memory card, and also comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro USB 2.0 port, Built-in stereo speakers, and Dolby Mobile + SRS WOW HD surround.

“The HTC ThunderBolt weighs 5.78 ounces and measures 4.8 x 2.6 x 0.52 inches. It comes with a long-life 1400 mAh lithium-ion battery. It runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, as well as EV-DO, Rev A 3G and CDMA 800/1900 frequencies where 4G LTE is not available,” the retailer notes.
