On Tuesday, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has confirmed the availability of its first LTE-based Android smartphone, the HTC ThunderBolt, for tomorrow, March 17th, and some more info on the accessories that would be available for users starting with that day emerged.

A series of leaked screenshots available courtesy of Phandroid show that users would be able to purchase the new device along with an extended battery for it.

At 2750 mAh, the battery should offer far more juice than the standard 1400 mAh battery packed inside the ThunderBolt would be able to deliver. It would cost around $50.

Given the fact that the new Android device was long rumored to have been delayed for about a month due to issues with the battery life, users should strongly consider the acquisition of this part, for it might prove more than useful.

In addition to the extended battery, ThunderBolt adopters would also have the possibility to purchase a special battery door, priced at $39.99, which should enable them to charge their handsets wirelessly.

Next on the list is a multimedia charging dock for the LTE smartphone, which goes for $59.99. users can place the ThunderBolt in it in landscape mode.

The dock should include a series of ports meant to make it earn its name, including micro-USB, HDMI, or 3.5mm headphone jack, but specific info on the matter, lacks at the moment.

Apparently, the dock was created so as to accommodate not only the extended battery that one might want to pack inside the device, but also a second battery, charging both of them at the same time.

The mobile phone lands with a large 4.3" WVGA display, 8- megapixel camera on the back with HD video recording, 1.3- megapixel front facing camera, 8 GB of onboard memory, 32GB microSD card, 4G LTE connectivity, and Mobile Hotspot capabilities.

Yesterday, Verizon went official with the availability of the new device, and also announced that it would offer users the possibility to enjoy the ThunderBolt with Mobile Hotspot features enabled for free until May 15th.

Big Red users interested in the new device would have to commit to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan, which starts at $39.99 monthly access, and a 4G LTE data package, with unlimited data available for $29.99 per month.
