Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is getting ready for the launch of a large Android smartphone in the popular HTC One series, and the company appears to have already started teasing the release online.

On Monday, the handset vendor has posted two teaser videos online, one on Vine and another one on YouTube, both with the tag line “Big things ahead.”

Furthermore, the two teasers suggest that the company is about to change, although no specific details on what to expect from that have been provided.

According to previous rumors on the matter, however, the company is planning the launch of a 5.9-inch smartphone, the HTC One Max, which has emerged in leaked photos only yesterday.

No official confirmation on the new device has been provided as of now, but said teasers do show a smartphone for a few moments, though it is quite difficult to see whether it is the upcoming handset or the already available HTC One, as droid-life notes.

Chances are, however, that the phone is indeed the HTC One Max, especially considering the video’s tagline.

The 16-second YouTube clip that can be seen embedded below also appears to confirm that Robert Downey Jr. will be promoting the new device and other HTC smartphones, just as it was rumored a few months ago.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the upcoming large smartphone is expected to land on shelves with a 5.9-inch full HD touchscreen display, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, it should pack some of the technology that HTC has been including in its devices for quite some time now, such as UltraPixel, BoomSound, and more.

What remains to be seen is when exactly HTC will make the new HTC One Max official, and what unique features it will include to differentiate itself from other large smartphones out there.
