The INK features body art-inspired engravings

Taiwanese company HTC announced recently the upcoming availability of a limited edition One M9 smartphone. The handset maker has teamed up with supermodel Jourdan Dunn for the release of this special edition smartphone.

The campaign runs under the HTC INK name and will provide customers who wish to stand out from the crowd with the limited edition One M9.

“The HTC INK campaign will offer limited edition M9s that feature custom-designed, body art-inspired engravings. To kick off HTC INK, we partnered with worldwide fashion icon and supermodel Jourdan Dunn and asked her to dream up this design,” said HTC in a blog post.

For those uninitiated in the fashion world, Jourdan Dunn collaborated with many famous companies and recently won a British Vogue cover and Burberry contract.

She had campaigns with CK (Calvin Klein), DKNY, Hilfiger, Balmain, YSL Beauty, and TopShop. To spice it up, she also has her own cooking show with Jay-Z's Life+Times.

It comes with the same specs as the original HTC One M9

Moving on to the actual HTC One M9 limited edition that will be sold under the HTC INK campaign, the smartphone has the same specifications as the standard model.

According to HTC, “Jourdan collaborated with celebrity 'ink-er' Cally-Jo Pothecary to come up with a design that encapsulated her feelings about a new direction in her life, her excitement over upcoming creative projects, and the opportunity to partner with us to express her personal style.”

This means that the HTC INK One M9 will be engraved by hand with unique art-inspired designs. It's unclear how long the campaign will last and how many limited edition One M9 units will be available for purchase.

HTC has yet to announce when the smartphone will be available and for how much. We also expect it to be available in certain regions. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
