The handset does not offer memory expansion capabilities

HTC TITAN, the latest flagship Windows phone device from the Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation, is coming to the market with a fast NAND memory chip, enthusiasts have found.

The mobile phone is said to include a Samsung eMMC NAND memory, which should provide it with increased performance levels, it seems.

With this memory chip inside, the TITAN should be delivering faster and smoother performance capabilities, something that was not available on the microSD card memory available with older Windows Phones.

For a user's perspective, however, there will be little to observe when running applications and using services on the handset, but it is good to know that it does offer a bit increased performance capabilities.

The bad news, however, is the fact that users will be stuck with the same amount of memory at all times, since the device does not offer them the possibility to add external storage space.

This is one of the downsides of Microsoft's mobile operating system, as none of the handsets that arrives on shelves with it on board last year offered the option to expand the available memory.

Moreover, there have been users who did try to replace the memory card inside their new Windows Phones, only to find themselves with bricked devices in their hands.

Many have hoped that Microsoft will solve this with the release of Mango, and that at least new devices will come with the ability to replace memory cards to benefit from increased storage, but it seems that we might have to wait longer before that happens.

In addition to offering increased performance courtesy of the said faster internal memory, the HTC TITAN offers a large touchscreen display at 4.7-inch, and a fast application processor, clocked in at 1.5Ghz.

Moreover, the new device features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for HD video recording, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, and the like.
