At the same time, the new application release, which is available for download on computers running under Microsoft’s Windows platform, brings along a series of improvements meant to deliver a better experience to all users.

The new HTC Sync 3.0.5606 app release is available for download from Softpedia as well, via this link.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application provides users with the ability to easily sync their handsets with the Windows PC at home.

They will need to download and install the app on their PCs, and then connect the smartphone to the computer via the USB cable that came in the retail package.

“You can use HTC Sync to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts (Android & HTC Smart) and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your phone (Android),” HTC explains.

“It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your phone (Android).”

The application is available for download for all devices running under Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, and requires Microsoft Office Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010-32 & 64bit. Specific info on the application and how it can be installed can be found on HTC’s support website.
