A new version of the HTC Sync application is now available for download for the owners of HTC devices that run under Google's Android operating system, as well as for those who own the HTC Smart.

The new application flavor does not come with a specific changelog, but HTC notes that it should offer enhanced support for the company's Android devices, as well as for the BrewMP handset.

This is the application that the owners of HTC Android smartphones can use for connectivity to a Windows computer to easily sync apps, contacts, calendar entries and much more between devices.

“You can use HTC Sync to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts (Android & HTC Smart)and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your HTC devices(Android only),” the mobile phone maker explains.

“It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone & tablet, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your HTC devices(Android only),” HTC continues.

The new HTC Sync application release comes as version 3.0.5579, and the only thing that HTC notes on it is that it delivers improved support for its devices.

The software can be installed on any computer that packs at least an Intel Pentium III processor, 1GB of RAM, 300 MB of available free hard disk space, and an XGA (1024 x 768) video adapter.

The application can be installed on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 devices, and is compatible with Microsoft Office Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010-32 & 64 Bit.
