Mobile phone carrier Sprint is expected to soon unveil officially its first mobile phone that will include WiMAX connectivity options on board, the HTC Supersonic, and now the device has been spotted in an internal warehouse system. Considering the fact that the device emerged in a warehouse equipment list, and that the latest reports on it suggested it might be unveiled as soon as next week, things seem to slowly line up in the right direction.

The HTC Supersonic was spotted in the aforementioned list by a member of Android Community's message board who is also an indirect dealer for Sprint. The device seen there is labeled as the HTC A9292, which is expected to turn out to be none other than the Supersonic, it seems. Moreover, the device is described as a “WIMAX BAR PHONE,” which clearly hints at the long rumored HTC handset.

In case there are some who haven't encountered the Supersonic already, we should mention that the phone is expected to arrive on the market with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, with WiMAX ad CDMA connectivity options, FM Radio, an optical joystick, and more. In addition, the mobile phone is also believed to come with Google's Android operating system on board, making it even more appealing to those who are looking for an enhanced browsing experience over a high-speed wireless network.

As stated above, the HTC Supersonic might be announced officially next week during Sprint CEO Dan Hesse's keynote address at CTIA 2010, as previous reports suggested. For the time being, however, nothing is yet official, even if the mobile phone carrier did announce earlier this year that it planned on launching its first WiMAX phone during the first half of the ongoing year. Even so, since the new info points towards a near release date, the rumors on Supersonic's unveiling might pan out in the end. Keep an eye on this space for additional info.
