The HTC Snap / S522 made it into the wild a few times before, it even came at CTIA with the phone maker, and was announced to come to T-Mobile's lineup later during the ongoing year, most probably sometime in July, yet now we learn that the same device will also make it to the offering of other carriers in the country, only that it will also feature a different name.

The Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard-based HTC Snap has been spotted on Sprint's roadmap as the HTC Willow, and is also reported to come as XV6175, a name that can only suggest the full QWERTY device is heading at full speed towards Verizon Wireless.

A recently published photo that surfaced on Engadget shows the HTC XV6175 mobile phone, which seems to look very much like the GSM-powered HTC Snap (also seen around under the codename of Cedar) that was officially unveiled, though it also shows the presence of some different keys on the keypad.

Given the fact that the phone surfaced to the Web under a wide range of names, we might as well assume that it will also come with different hardware configurations, depending on the carriers that will launch it, yet most of its specifications, as well as the operating system that it will sport, are expected to remain about the same.

One way or another, the Windows Mobile-powered handset is coming towards mobile phone users in the United States, though now there are no specific details on when Verizon will plan to release the HTC XV6175 on its airwaves, and no info surfaced on the price tag the device might feature either. In case the carrier will launch it at about the same time as T-Mobile, we should be able to learn more on it in the near future, so stay tuned.
