One of the mobile phones that should arrive on shelves in Australia in the not too far future would be the HTC Shooter, which is currently being tested at Telstra, and which would pack 3D recording capabilities.

The mobile phone is rumored to be the one and the same as the HTC EVO 3D smartphone that should be released on shelves at Sprint in the United States later this week.

The mobile phone comes to the market with appealing hardware and capabilities, and should be released in the country in the not too far future, it seems.

At the moment, the wireless carrier is testing the new handset on its network, but nothing is public nor official.

The new smartphone should hit the market with about the same internals as the original, which is highly similar with the newly made available HTC Sensation.

If Telstra launches the new device as the HTC Shooter, there are great chances that it would arrive in other markets around the world as well under this name.

The specifications list of HTC EVO 3D includes a 4.3-inch Super LCD touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, along with support for 3D playback.

The Android-based device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core application processor (a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM86600, complemented by an Adreno 220 GPU.

On the back, it sports dual 5-megapixel cameras, with support for recording 720p @ 30fps videos in 3D, and 1080p @ 24fps videos in 2D.

Moreover, the handset comes with 1GB of RAM and 1GB of ROM, and with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

It should arrive at Telstra with 14.4Mbit / 5.76Mbit HSPA capabilities, as well as with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options, microUSB, 3.5mm headphone jack, and built-in GPS receiver.

Apparently, Telstra might aim at launching only the 3D-capable mobile phone, and might not release the HTC Sensation at all, but there is no confirmation on this available for the time being.
