HTC Sensation, the high-end Android-based mobile phone that emerged into the wild only a few months ago, is expected to arrive on shelves in Canada in a matter of days via wireless carriers Bell and Virgin Mobile, and some info on the possible pricing it will sport when available emerged.

Apparently, the handset should go for no less than $149.95 when purchased with the signing of a three-year contract agreement, a little more than what some might have expected.

Starting with July 5th, mobile phone users in Canada will have the possibility to purchase the new device in the country, a leaked document that popped up on MobileSyrup shows.

This is not the first time we heard of this date as marking the possible release for the handset, but it is the first time info on the contract pricing of the device emerges. Without agreement, it is expected to go for $500 at Virgin Mobile.

The dual-core Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered mobile phone will precede another high-end device set to land on shelves in Canada in July, the Galaxy S II.

Samsung's smartphone was recently announced to be on its way to the local market via Bell and Virgin mobile too, as well as on SaskTel, which will launch it at under $80 on a three-year contract, almost half of what Sensation might cost.

For the time being, however, nothing is official confirmed on the pricing of HTC's flagship device, and we'll have to wait for a formal announcement to be made to learn more on this.

When made available, the handset will provide users with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display to view content on, and with a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core application processor to enable fast browsing, multitasking, and increased multimedia capabilities.

On the back, the new device will sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper, with support for video recording in HD, complemented by a front-facing camera for those who are into video calling.
