Unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs now available for Sensation users

Owners of an HTC Sensation smartphone can now download and install on their devices nightly builds of CyanogenMod 9, which is based on Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The ROMs are meant mainly for the international flavor of the HTC Sensation, but they might very well work on the Sensation 4G devices on T-Mobile’s network, it seems.

Before kicking off the installation process, however, Magenta’s users should have a look at this thread on the XDA-Developers forum to make an idea of what’s in store for them.

Since these are only nightly builds, all users should expect some caveats to emerge, but the overall experience should be a good one.

Just keep in mind that these are not official releases for your devices, and that you’ll need to root the handset to install a CM9 build on it.
