Mobile phone carrier Orange UK has just added to its coming soon page a new smartphone from HTC, namely the Android-based HTC Sensation XE.

The new device was unveiled to the world only a few months ago, with high-end features and capabilities, complemented by the inclusion of Beats Audio technology inside.

The handset should make an appearance on Orange's shelves in the near future, available for free on select monthly plans.

The smartphone packs a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, along with a fast dual-core application processor inside, with each core clocked in at 1.5GHz.

The new device also packs 4GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot through which users can add up to 32GB of additional storage into the mix.

The new smartphone also arrives on shelves with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus, flash and support for HD video recording, as well as with a front camera for video calling.

And there is also the aforementioned Beats Audio technology, which should result in a great audio experience being delivered to HTC Sensation XE's users at all times.

“HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio comes with custom made Beats headset in the box, engineered to deliver extraordinary sound,” Orange explains.

“The specially tuned software and user interface delivers the ultimate mobile audio experience we know you’ll appreciate. Featuring an aluminum unibody construction and designed with touches of red, the phone feels premium and looks beautiful inside and out.”

The specifications list of the new device also includes HSDPA connectivity, along with WiFi, Bluetooth and micro USB v2.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, as well as A-GPS.

The new mobile phone runs under the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and offers support for a wide range of Google Mobile Services, as well as for applications and games available for download via the Android Market.
