Three was among the first UK-based carriers to offer the HTC Sensation XL more than a month ago and everyone thought that the operator won’t be adding the Sensation XE to its portfolio as well.

However, it appears that due to overwhelming feedback asking for the HTC Sensation XE, Three UK decided that it’s worth the move and confirmed plans to launch the smartphone by year’s end.

Given the fact that the HTC Sensation XE is a cheaper version of the XL, this is indeed a smart decision as the Beats Audio phones will now be available for a larger audience that could not afford to purchase the expensive Sensation XL.

According to SoMobile, the carrier has just started selling the HTC Sensation XE, though the smartphone does not show on the carrier’s online store yet.

Those who were expecting for the Sensation XE can now grab this one for free on 24 month plans starting at £30 monthly, which will net them 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of data.

Furthermore, the HTC Sensation XE is also available on PAYG (pay as you go) for £399.99 (615 USD or 475 EUR) outright.

HTC Sensation XE has a large 4.3-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen that boasts 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The phone is delivered with Beats Audio hardware and Beats headset.

Software-wise, the Sensation XE runs Google’s Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread platform, but is pegged to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade next year.

Taking on board the huge amount of interest we had from our customers to range this great device, we’re delighted to now offer the HTC Sensation XE. Featuring Beats audio built-in, people can listen to music in superior-style, and coupled with Three’s unique all-you-can-eat data offering, they can download as many songs as they like without having to worry about out-of-bundle data charges,” said Sylvia Chind, Handset Product Manager at Three.
