Ever since HTC has announced the release of HTC Sensation, enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting for info on its market availability, and it seems that things are finally lining up well on this direction, as France and the UK are expected to receive it as soon as tomorrow, May 19th.
Initially set to make an appearance on the market in France on May 12th, via wireless carrier SFR, the handset
got delayed for a week, but is now set to land on shelves in about 24 hours in the country.
The mobile phone carrier has already made the official announcement on HTC Sensation's arrival on its network tomorrow, it seems.
Apparently, HTC did not want for Sensation to go for sale in France before its UK users would have the possibility to purchase it.
In France, the smartphone would hit SFR's stores tomorrow, while expected to benefit from expanded availability in the coming days.
The HTC Sensation is expected to be available in the country starting at €99, with a €100 mail-in rebate included into the mix.
In the UK, the smartphone was made available for pre-order through various wireless carriers in the country, starting with Vodafone, which has it available for reservations for free on certain monthly plans.
The
HTC Sensation is one of the most appealing Android-based smartphones unveiled to the world this year.
It runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and packs a 1.2GHz dual-core application processor inside, complemented by 768MB of RAM, and a microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space.
The handset sports a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full-HD video recording capabilities.
The high-end smartphone comes with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and support for various services from Google, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.
