HTC Sensation, the latest Android-based smartphone the Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation unveiled to the world, is expected to make an official appearance on shelves at T-Mobile USA on June 8th, if some of the latest reports on the matter are to be believed.

According to a recent article on TmoNews, several hints emerged on the web recently, pointing at the said release date, although no official announcement on the matter was made until now.

When announcing the upcoming availability of the new dual-core smartphone, the two companies said that it is set to land on shelves sometime in early summer.

However, the two did not confirm a specific release date for the new device, though evidence on its landing on June 8th surfaced through AdWords.

When searching for the device on Google, an ad that emerged on the results page mentioned the “6/8” date in the link, which is said to be the exact day when the new smartphone would make an official appearance on shelves at T-Mobile.

On top of that, the news site came across one photo with the device (which can be seen attached to this article), on which the weather widget shows 68 degrees, another hint at the upcoming release date for this device, it seems.

Nothing was confirmed on this for the time being, and things might change until then, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.

The HTC Sensation should land on shelves as one of the most appealing devices of this first half of the year, courtesy of its large touchscreen display, complemented by a 1.2Ghz application processor.

The smartphone is powered by the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with the HTC Sense 3.0 user interface loaded on it.

The handset promises increased performance levels, along with support for various Google Mobile services, fast web browsing, and support for applications available for download via the Android Market.
