Last week, mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the upcoming availability of a new Android-based handset in its lineup, the HTC Sensation, which should land in the United States too, via wireless carrier T-Mobile, and which has just got its sign-up page up on HTC's website.

The HTC Sensation is the company's new flagship mobile phone, set to land on shelves in the not too far future with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, and with impressive capabilities.

In the United States, the new device would offer support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ network, hence the HTC Sensation 4G name, and is expected to land sometime in early June (recent reports suggested that June 8th might be the actual launch date for the new device).

No official release date has been confirmed for the new mobile phone for the time being, but HTC and T-Mobile might unveil more on this soon, especially with the aforementioned sign-up page up and running.

The specifications list of the new device include a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor, with each core clocked in at 1.2 GHz, complemented by 768MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal memory (1 GB user addressable) and a SDHC capable microSD card slot (8GB card inside).

Moreover, the handset comes to the market with a 4.3-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) touchscreen display, or a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with Dual LED flash and HD video recording capabilities on the back.

The mobile phone's hardware specs also includes GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz support, along with Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm audio jack, or GPS/AGPS.

Some of the main features of HTC Sensation 4G would include:

Instant Watchification.

With HTC Watch, you've got instant access to an entire arsenal of entertainment. New sounds. New games. New releases. Now on-demand.

Total Waitlessness.

With a 1.2Ghz dual core processor primed for the nation's largest 4G network, you can multitask apps, games and gadgets, and download massive movie files without catching a single glimpse of the dreaded buffering bar.

Absolute Sense.

With HTC Sense improving upon the improvements of Android 2.3, you've got deep social network integration across a ton of different apps, custom HTC widgets, animated displays, automated updates, and infinite ways to customize.

Unpixelated Bliss.

With a massive 4.3" qHD touchscreen, everything you watch - every color, motion, movie, game and Android app - literally jumps off the screen in pixels.

The HTC Sensation 4G measures 5" (L) x 2.6" (W) x 0.44" (T), weighs in at 5.2 ounces, and packs a 1520mAh Li-Ion battery inside. Those interested in receiving a notification on its availability should head over to HTC's website here. (via TmoNews)
