Wireless services provider T-Mobile USA has just added a new mobile phone to its offering, one that can deliver support for its HSPA+ network, rated 4G.

The mobile phone was unveiled to the world sometime in April, but T-Mobile announced only last week that it would have it for sale today.

The price tag for this device was set at $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50.00 mail-in rebate.

However, today the wireless carrier would offer the smartphone $50 cheaper via a special promotion that should kick off anytime now, as they announced on Twitter.

The HTC Sensation 4G is also available for purchase via Walmart, which had it for sale for a few days now, for less than what the wireless carrier is asking.

The retailer was supposed to make the new device available for purchase on June 12th, but they started selling it sooner than that. Today, the smartphone is available at Walmart for only $148.88, it seems.

“More watching, less waiting: The Android powered HTC Sensation 4G is a true entertainment powerhouse, loaded with a super-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.2 GHz processor,” T-Mobile notes on its website.

The Sensation 4G is the most powerful handset in the company's lineup at the moment, with the fast application processor complemented by 768MB of RAM, and 1GB of internal memory.

The handset also comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, as well as with an 8MP photo snapper on the back, with support for recording videos in full HD, and a camera on the front for video calling.

The new mobile phone also comes with WiFi, HSPA+ and Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, GPS receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD memory card slot for expanding the available memory to up to 32GB. HTC Sensation 4G runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It can be seen on T-Mobile's online store here.
