Owners of the Windows Phone 8X by HTC smartphone on the network of wireless carrier T-Mobile should soon start seeing a new software update arriving on their devices, featuring version 7.22.2013 and packing the Windows Phone 8 GDR2 upgrade inside.

The handset vendor notes on its support website that the update has started arriving on devices on July 22, bringing not only the aforementioned platform upgrade, but also delivering a series of bug fixes to users.

“This update will only be available for T-Mobile Windows Phone 8X customers and will be sent to the device over the air. Once the release is ready, users will receive a notification on their device advising them of this update and provide instructions to receive and install it,” HTC notes.

However, WPCentral reports that users haven’t seen the update as available for their devices as of now, but it should go live soon.
