O2 is the second carrier that makes the HTC Salsa and ChaCha phones available in the UK, after Vodafone debuted the Facebook handsets earlier today.

Although both phones have similar hardware, they offer both of the worlds: QWERTY keyboard and touch screen display.

Customers who wish to purchase the HTC ChaCha from O2 can get it either on contract or on PAYG (pay as you go).

The ChaCha is now available from O2 UK for £209.99 with a PAYG SIM, or for free with a new 18 or 24-months contract.

Those who opt of the latter must choose one of the select contracts that start at £21.50 for 24 months, as well as £26.50 for 18 months.

Any other cheaper contract that customers select will also get them an extra fee of £60 that must be paid upfront.

The second Facebook phone introduced by O2, the HTC Salsa, is available on PAYG and on contract, as well.

HTC Salsa can be purchased from O2 UK for £299.99 with a PAYG SIM, or for free with a new 18- or 24-months contact.

Customers who choose to sign a new agreement with O2 UK must choose one of the selected plans that start at £27 per month for a 24-month contract, or £37 per month for a new 18-month contract.

Obviously, other cheaper options are available but customers will have to pay £105 upfront to be able to get the HTC Salsa.

Both phones feature a special Facebook Share Button that pulses when the content displayed on the screen can be posted on the user's Facebook account.

The personalized button allows users to post just about anything on their Facebook account with only one click.

Furthermore, the phones run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform and are powered by similar 800 MHz processors.
