Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA is reportedly gearing up for the release of a new smartphone on its fast 4G HSPA+ network, and that device might be none other than the already rumored HTC Ruby, said to arrive on shelves at the operator as the Amaze 4G . The phone's name emerged into the wild before, and now we can also have a look at a series of photos with it, leaked via a Thai website, Droid Sans.

Apparently, T-Mobile and HTC are currently testing the new mobile phone with DC-HSPA+ speeds in Thailand, and are expecting it to offer theoretical data transfer speeds of around 42Mbps.

The new photos show a device that appears to be in line with what was previously rumored on the said HTC Amaze 4G smartphone.

Reportedly, the new device will hit the shelves at T-Mobile with a 4.3-inch screen that can deliver a qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution, as well as 16GB of internal storage.

Moreover, it should arrive on the market with a dual-core application processor, with each core clocked in at 1.5GHz, complemented by 1GB of RAM, for increased performance capabilities.

The specifications list of the new device also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual-LED flash and support for HD video recording.

The new mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is expected to arrive on the market with the Sense 3.5 user interface on top of it.

Rumor has it that the new mobile phone will arrive on the market in at least two different color flavors, which would not come too much as a surprise for a T-Mobile smartphone, one should agree.

For the time being, however, there's no telling on whether the handset in the new photos is indeed the Amaze 4G, though it appears to be identical with it, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
