It looks like HTC Rhyme is now available for purchase in India. As we reported last week, the smartphone was listed as “Out of Stock” at Flipkart with no release date attached to it.

In the meantime the retailer changed the status of the HTC Rhyme, which is now labeled with the “Coming Soon” tag.

However, until Flipkart receives its first stock of HTC Rhyme units, Android enthusiasts can purchase the smartphone via Letsbuy for Rs 24,800 (500 USD or 360 EUR).

According to Letsbuy, customers who order the HTC Rhyme will receive their devices in 4-7 business days.

The smartphone is aimed at women and “is more than a phone, it has many features that make it one of its kind,” the manufacturer claims.

HTC Rhyme is powered by Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system with the latest Sense 3.5 user interface on top.

Unfortunately, the smartphone is not among the first wave of HTC devices that will receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in early 2012.

Design-wise, the HTC Rhyme comes with aluminum and a soft touch surface and features the usual touch-sensitive keys, as well as several external buttons.

In addition, at the back of the phone, there's a 5-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and flashlight, while on the front there's a secondary VGA camera suitable for video calls.

Obviously, the HTC Rhyme features sensors like accelerometer for UI auto-rotate, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit, 4GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

It is also worth mentioning that the HTC Rhyme comes with a special accessory dubbed 'charm indicator,' which notifies users about any missed calls, messages and emails.
