, the women-oriented smartphone that went official only a few days ago, is now available for pre-order in the UK SIM free via online retailer mobilefun.

The company has put the new handset on its website with a price tag of £389.95 attached to it (about $600 / 450 Euros), and says that it should start shipping soon.

Apparently, the retailer had the October 7th release date attached to the phone in the beginning, but it removed it from the page and put the Comin Soon tag instead.

The handset is also expected to arrive on shelves at wireless carrier O2 UK starting with October 17th, the company announced recently on Twitter.

The mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system and packs the new HTC Sense 3.5 UI on top of it, while also sporting a charm indicator to notify users on missed calls or newly received messages.

Moreover, the HTC Rhyme packs a 1GHz application processor with Adreno 205GPU, 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The specs list of this device also includes a large 3.7" WVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with HD video recording, front camera for video calling, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.

“The HTC Rhyme (codenamed Bliss) is no slouch when it comes to processing power. It features a 1GHz Scorpion processor which blazes through tasks and apps with ease,” mobilefun notes on its website.

The Rhyme comes preloaded with the latest version of Google's Android operating system (2.3.4 Gingerbread). This offers the best in security, functionality and speed, while also providing maximum compatibility with the Android Market's thousands of apps.”

Those users interested in the purchase of an HTC Rhyme without the signing of a contract agreement should head over to the retailer's website here to pre-order a unit.
