Today, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless added a new device running under Google's Android operating system to its offering, namely the HTC Rezound, the first smartphone in the United States to feature Beats Audio. The handset was made available for purchase on the carrier's network with a price tag of $299.99 (around 210 Euros) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

Running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, the new mobile phone is capable of offering a great music experience to all users, and the carrier made sure we are aware of this via a recently published video ad for the device.

Moreover, the HTC Rezound can deliver fast data transfer rates on the carrier's LTE network, as well as an appealing Internet browsing experience on its large 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.

The smartphone packs a fast dual-core application processor with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space.

“Make your own multimedia with a front–facing 2MP camera and rear–facing 8MP camera. At your disposal are a dual–LED flash and a 28mm lens for panoramic landscape shots,” Verizon explains.

HTC Rezound’s camcorder captures video in full 1080p HD and plays it back in slow–motion, allowing you to see everything. And if you see something you don’t like, edit the clip right from your phone.”

The new device arrives on shelves with support for LTE 700 MHz (band 13); CDMA 1x/3G 800/1900 MHz networks, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.

Not to mention that it features the Beats Audio technology for a great sound experience at all times.

“Some people go out of their way to get high–performance headphones. Yours will come in the box. The HTC Rezound is also optimized with Beats Audio. This technology brings out the best sound in your music and movies so you can hear every little detail – the way it should be heard,” Verizon notes.
