The handset sold out shortly after launch

One of the hottest mobile phones available at the moment for purchase in the United States is the HTC HD2, a device powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, and which was released only a few days ago on T-Mobile's airwaves. The handset comes to the US market with upgraded features when compared to the model released in October last year, and has already managed to attract a lot of users in the country, it seems, as the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

Although the HD2 remains stuck with the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform on board (it has been confirmed over and over that it won't be upgraded to Windows Phone 7 Series), users in the US are already considering the device as a great option, and it seems that it was sold out in almost all T-Mobile stores around the country shortly after launch. Retailers also reported strong sales of the HTC HD2 and the wireless carrier is expected to sell even more units in the near future.

And to make things even brighter, HTC has outed two new ads with the HD2 for T-Mobile, showing users a little of what the device is capable of. Both commercials feature the two transformers movies that were included on the 16GB microSD card T-Mobile sells the HD2 packed up with, and also bring to the front the large display this Windows Mobile-based phone sports, which makes it such an appealing handset.

That “ridiculously big screen” HD2 comes with is indeed capable of offering users an experience no other device can, and the two “YOU” commercials focus on that. But, as most of you might already know, other features are also included, such as connectivity capabilities, pre-installed applications, and much more. Take a look at the clips below to see what video playback on HD2 is all about, or head over to T-Mobile's website to learn about the offers it has in place for the phone.
