Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation will make official its next Android-based flagship device, in the form of the All New HTC One, or HTC One 2014, but it seems that this is not the only thing that the company has decided to share to the world.

The mobile phone maker is also offering two applications that have been available exclusively on its smartphones as part of the popular HTC Sense user interface, namely HTC Blinkfeed and HTC Service Pack.

For those out of the loop, we should note that HTC Blinkfeed was designed to provide users with fast access to information that interests them the most, straight on the screen of their smartphones.

The app will keep people connected with their accounts on social networks out there, while also delivering news, info on events, updates on music, and other content.

“Read more of what you love without having to look for it. You can now get all your social feeds, calendar events, news, music and content arranged and constantly updated in one place,” HTC explains in the application’s description.

“BlinkFeed removes the need to open multiple apps. And for those with no data plan, the Offline Reading feature lets you update feeds with WiFi, and then save them to read later.”

The one thing that the company did not mention is what devices it is compatible with, and it remains to be seen whether it will continue to be HTC exclusive software or will enjoy expanded, global availability.

The second mobile app that HTC has brought online is HTC Service Pack, which appears to be tightly related to the aforementioned HTC Sense UI.

This app appears destined mainly for HTC users, and it should provide them with access to all updates that the mobile phone maker has released, but in a single, easy to install package.

“The HTC Service Pack is a support service update that combines previously released updates and helps make your HTC experience more reliable. Service packs are provided free of charge. Make sure you install the latest service pack to help keep your HTC experiences up to date,” the company notes.

No details on the app’s device compatibility have been provided as of now but, as mentioned above, it appears to be aimed only at HTC devices.

The availability of these two applications suggests that the company is determined to deliver updates for them at a faster pace than before. Having them available for download as standalone software will allow the phone maker to push out new features and enhancements without having to release system updates for its users.

HTC might also plan on sharing more details on these applications later today, when the All New HTC One goes official, so stay tuned for more on them.
