T-Mobile has just announced that it will carry the HTC Radar 4G, one of the first HTC smartphones to be delivered with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango on board.

Although the carrier has yet to unveil any details regarding the phone's exact release date and price tag, HTC Radar 4G is expected to hit shelves “just in time for the holidays,” T-Mobile USA claims.

Showcased for the first time during IDA 2011 trade fair, HTC Radar 4G will be T-Mobile's first Windows Phone capable of 4G speeds.

As we already mentioned, the smartphone comes with the latest version of Windows Phone, dubbed Mango, out of the box.

According to T-Mobile: “This intuitive new operating system update will keep HTC Radar 4G customers connected and entertained just about wherever life takes them with its new and innovative communication features centered on people, along with preloaded entertainment applications and the ability to multitask between apps.”

As for the phone's hardware configuration, HTC Radar 4G is far from being impressive, but stands out in comparison with older Windows Phone 7 devices.

The phone features HTC's usual “aluminum unibody design” that makes it catchy. It features a bar form factor and measures 120.5 x 61.5 x 10.9 mm.

The candybar shape leaves no room for a physical keyboard, but users will be able to comfortable type on the large 3.8-inch LCD touch screen display using a virtual QWERTY keyboard.

HTC Radar 4G is equipped with a single core 1GHz Snapdragon processor and packs 8GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM.

It provides users a complete productivity experience via Microsoft Exchange and calendar, that go along with Microsoft's Office Hub and Internet Explorer 9.

The smartphone also packs a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a dedicated button, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
