The company might aim at attaching the name to a flagship device

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is gearing up for the launch of a slew of new mobile phones, and one of them might be set to land on shelves under the name of Supreme, it seems.

The company has put the 'Supreme' name up for trademark protection in Europe, which suggests that it will attach it to a device of some sorts.

Considering the name, we might assume that it will be a high-end device, a new flagship smartphone, most probably. After all, 'Sensation' has had a similar fate.

However, no specific info on what the handset might be all about emerged for the time being, though Pocketnow suggests that it might turn out to be one of the recently leaked codenamed Edge, Ville, or Quattro.

One way or the other, we might expect HTC to make an official announcement on this soon, most likely at CES 2012 in January, or at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
