Xda Orbit 2 will be available from now on at O2 Germany at an affordable price. It's actually the HTC Polaris smartphone with a new name, but the same evolved performances that it has brought until now.

Xda Orbit 2 has to offer just about the same high-end features that fade in front of other evolved devices. It runs on a powerful Qualcomm MSM7200 400 MHz processor and also brings the navigation system TomTom. The phone has an internal memory of 128 MB and an impressive size of 256MB of RAM.

This smartphone uses the TouchFLO interface, as HTC planned to pack it in as many of its future devices as possible. The great advantage that it brings is that the user no longer needs a stylus in order to browse through the phone's basic functions, but can do it only with the help of his thumb.

The integrated TomTom Navigator proves to be just the right thing to use both by business customers and regular ones in order to get around with little effort in any area of the world. There are also some extensive maps of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and all European and main roads packed on the phone's microSD card. There is 1GB left to store even more data, including songs, images, videos and any other form of personal content.

The smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional Moreover, it also packs mobile office, mobile Internet Explorer and Outlook for handling emails and benefit from all the needed information. This makes it excellent to use both for work and personal situations just as well.

The 3 megapixel camera is above the average quality that smartphones usually dare to offer. Moreover, the phone also packs HSDPA technology for bringing fast data transfer speeds, which manage to bring video or sound content on the phone in just a few seconds.

HTC Polaris will be available at O2 under the name of Xda Orbit 2 starting this December. Its price will be pretty good, of 100 euros with a 2 year contract.
