A new flavor of HTC's high-end Android-based flagship HTC Sensation smartphone might be unveiled to the world in the not-too-distant future, if some of the latest reports on the matter are to be believed.

This would be a special flavor of the mobile phone, one that would include various improvements when compared to the previously released version of the device.

Apparently, HTC aims at packing the handset with Beats technology, while also planning the addition of some other enhancements into the mix.

One of them would involve clocking the application processor inside this device to up to 1.5GHz, making it faster than the 1.2GHz CPU inside the original HTC Sensation.

However, the application processor will still be a dual-core, and might be accompanied by 1GB of RAM to further enhance the performance capabilities the new Sensation would have to offer.

The internal memory of this new device will be of 4GB, four times higher than in the original device, while the battery would reportedly be of 1,730mAh.

At the moment, the mobile phone is expected to be released on the market in China with GSM and TD-SCDMA connectivity capabilities, but it would be brought to other markets as well, that's for sure.

In addition to the aforementioned changes, the new mobile phone would also include hardware components that were present with the original Sensation too.

Unfortunately, no specific details on whether the screen on the new device will be upgraded as well has emerged, though chances are that HTC will do with the Sensation what Samsung did with their Galaxy S II, which just got upgraded and enlarged.

No info on the Android operating system flavor that the new HTC Sensation will run under surfaced either, though rumor has it that the device might go official in the near future, so stay tuned for more info on this.
