It appears that mobile phone carrier AT&T might be on its way to bring to the market in the near future some new handsets running under Google's Android operating system, as one of them has just emerged over at FCC, in the form of HTC Paradise.

The documents found on the Federal Communication Commission web site regarding the release of this HTC device show that we're to expect it to run under Android, though it should be a lower end device, it seems.

At the same time, the said documents unveil that the smartphone was set to arrive on shelves with support for AT&T's network. There is also an image that shows the device with AT&T's logo.

As the guys over at Phone Scoop note, the said image also makes reference to the HTC Sense user interface the mobile phone maker put on most of its latest handsets.

Moreover, it appears that the FCC documentation also unveiled a nice range of other specifications on the new handset.

Thus, we should expect the Android device to land on the market with a slide-out four-row QWERTY keyboard, in addition to the touchscreen display, and with an optical joystick.

Not to mention that the smartphone should arrive on shelves with a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The specifications list of this phone also includes a 3.5mm headset jack, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, and FM radio.

The HTC Paradise, provided that this would be the name under which the handset will land on shelves, should also come with a built-in GPS receiver, as well we with expandable memory via a microSD memory card slot.

For the time being, however, the new mobile phone was not announced officially by HTC or AT&T.

Specific info on the mobile phone's arrival on the market lack for the time being, and Phone Scoop even suggests that it might have been canceled.
