Canadian carrier Mobilicity has recently announced the availability of the HTC Panache 4G smartphone. The device is available starting today via Mobilicity stores and authorized dealers across Canada for $499.99 without contract.

HTC Panache is exclusive to Mobilicity in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, but is not available online yet.

However, the carrier stated that the Panache would be added to its online portfolio later today.

Furthermore, HTC Panache fully supports 4G speeds of up to 21mps and allows users to turn it into a Wi-Fi hotspot with carrier's unlimited data add-on.

Mobilicity is currently offering customers an unlimited data to any voice plan for $10, thus making it possible to get unlimited talk, text and data for as low as $35 per month.

The Panache runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and HTC Sense user interface, which allows users to customize the home screen with regularly used software, contacts and apps, create different user profiles for business and personal use and manage multiple email accounts and email filters.

With the new HTC Panache, users will be able to instantly silence the phone ringer, when required, with a quick flip of the device, and stream contacts’ social network status and updates alongside their photos when they call or text.

The smartphone is equipped with a single core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a large 3.8-inch touch screen that provides users with an immersive visual experience.

Other interesting features of the device include integrated GPS, Adobe Flash Player, HD video recording, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash and autofocus, and a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video-chat.

In addition, users can manage their phone's content directly from their PCs, including contacts, text messages and call history.

The feature is extremely useful in case the phone is lost or stolen, as users will be able to remotely lock the phone, forward calls and texts to another phone, and even delete all personal data.
