The rest of the HTC smartphones are still waiting in line

HTC has announced for some time now that many of their older smartphone models running on Windows Mobile 5 will benefit from upgrades to the latest version of this operating system. Time has come for HTC P4350 Herald to benefit from this promise, being among the first such devices to receive the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade.

HTC TyTN is another smartphone model coming from this producer that has received the opportunity to dump the old version of the operating system for the latest one. Some others are waiting on the list, including HTC S620 Excalibur, HTC P330 Artemis and Advantage X7500. The producer has set August as the fate when all the new versions will start being available for the specified phone models.

HTC P4350 Herald has a 200 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, just enough for being capable of supporting the latest Windows Mobile version. The handset is capable of responding to the most evolved communication needs, also including instant messaging and email solutions. It features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and USB connectivity, which responds to the needs of reliable data transfers.

All the newly released smartphone models come packed with Windows Mobile 6, which makes the handsets using the fifth version of the software somewhat outdated. It seemed only natural for HTC to solve that flaw in its products and provide only the most evolved solutions for its customers.

The list of updates will continue coming, with some other HTC smartphones on the list. In order to benefit from these upgrades, the handset user only has to join the HTC eClub and keep informed on the latest releases. All the Windows Mobile 6 upgrades are available specifically only to HTC smartphone owners and nobody else. The producer has developed a specific upgrade package for each device, which makes it impossible for it to run on other handsets.
