Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has officially confirmed plans to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat platform upgrade to the HTC One devices in the UK around the end of January.

No specific release date has been provided as of now, but it seems that users will only have to wait a few weeks more for the update to be pushed to them.

The handset vendor has yet to offer additional info on the new build, including details on its availability and enhancements, but it should not be too long before it does so.

“The 4.4 update is due to be released around the end of January for the HTC One. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page,” the company said in a tweet.

HTC One has been previously rumored to receive KitKat at the beginning of this year, with HTC One mini and One max expected to follow suit.
