HTC One

, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from HTC Corporation, is expected to make an appearance on shelves in India starting with April 22, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The handset had already been confirmed for launch in Asia-Pacific before the end of April, but no specific release date for India has been announced as of now.

However, AndroidOS claims that, according to a tipster, April 22 will prove to be the official release date of HTC One in the country, in line with what HTC had suggested at various meet-ups in various Indian cities.

HTC One arrives on shelves with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, an UltraPixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
