Some users started to experience the problem only after the update

Over the past few weeks, HTC’s latest flagship Android-based smartphone, the HTC One, has started to receive an upgrade to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which appears to be causing issues with the camera for some users.

HTC One was launched with an UltraPixel camera on the back, which was reportedly affected by some purple hue issue when capturing images, at least this is what some of its users said.

The Android 4.3 upgrade that started to roll out to the device recently was expected to resolve the problem, but it seems that it made the matter worse.

In fact, a recent post on VR-Zone suggests that the purple hue problem has started to appear even on devices that did not have it before being upgraded to Android 4.3.

As GSMInsider notes, users should consider keeping away from the update, given that it might break their handsets’ camera capabilities. However, there is no word on how many users are affected by this, as it might be only an isolated problem in the end.
