Users should not worry about their privacy being breached

HTC One max, the large Android-based smartphone that HTC made official earlier this week, comes to the market with a fingerprint sensor on the back, but no data recorded by it is accessible to HTC, it seems.

The company has officially confirmed that all such data is stored on the handset, and that it is also secured, so that no one would have access to it.

“The fingerprint data is not an actual image but fingerprint characteristics that have been identified by a proprietary algorithm. No, HTC does not have access to the information and the fingerprint cannot be used by a third party,” the company said, Pocketnow reports.

Users who have been worried about privacy issues due to the presence of the scanner on the device should rest assured that their data is safe, HTC implies.
