Today, Australian wireless carrier Telstra made the HTC One XL available for pre-order for its users, offering them the possibility to have the device in their hands as soon as June 1st.

The smartphone is available now on the carrier’s website on the Freedom Connect Plans and brings along a free pair of Beats Solo headphones designed by Dr. Dre to all those who sign up for a 24 months plan. The headphones are valued at $279 (€223). HTC One XL is expected to arrive in stores as soon as June 5th for all those who won’t head over to the carrier’s website to pre-order one.

The smartphone comes with support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network, thus being capable of providing users with fast data speeds.

According to Andrew Volard, director, Telstra Mobile, the new mobile phone is able to provide users with great connectivity capabilities while also offering them all the benefits of a high-end Android device, such as access to applications, games and services while on the go.

“From its elegant polycarbonate body that’s less than 9 millimetres thick through to its 4.7-inch screen, the HTC One XL is exquisitely designed,” Mr Volard said.

“Add to this the latest Android 4.0 operating software and some of the world’s fastest mobile internet speeds for music and video streaming on the go and it all adds up to one of the most advanced smartphones to launch this year.”

HTC One XL is the first smartphone to arrive on Telstra’s network with Beats by Dr. Dre Audio technology, which delivers authentic studio-quality sounds when listening to favorite songs on the device, or viewing YouTube videos.

The 1.5 GHz next-generation dual-core processor (paired with 1GB of RAM) inside this phone can boast increased performance capabilities, while the 4.7-inch Super LCD screen with 1280 x 720 HD resolution offers a great viewing experience while on the go.

The specs list of this handset also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper with smart LED flash and HD video recording capabilities, along with 1.3 megapixel front camera, and 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone also packs an 1800 mAh battery, NFC Compatibility, a polycarbonate unibody design, WiFi, Bluetooth, and the like. The handset runs under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC’s latest Sense UI on top of it.
