Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is expected to make its HTC One X+ smartphone available for purchase in India this week or the next, before Diwali (the festival of lights).

The company announced plans to make the smartphone available for its Indian users a while ago, but it did not offer specific info on when it would be released.

“We are going to launch One X+ in next few weeks in India before this Diwali,” Faisal Siddiqui, country head, HTC India, stated, according to mymobile.

HTC One X+ will land on the market as an upgraded flavor of the One X smartphone that HTC made official earlier this year.

The new device has been announced with a faster processor, a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU, and will be launched in India with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean loaded on it right from the start.
