One of the new mobile phones that wireless carrier Sprint will soon make available for purchase on its airwaves, with Google’s Android operating system on board, is the HTC One X.

Sprint’s flavor of this mobile phone is said to sport the codename of Jet, and to be set for launch on the wireless carrier’s network on June 10th.

Sprint has yet to confirm any rumors on the matter, as it hasn’t said anything about plans to carry this device on its network.

However, the guys over at S4gru.com claim that it is a sure bet on the wireless carrier’s network, and that it will arrive on shelves with great performance capabilities.

The handset will pack a 1.5 GHz dual-core application processor, along with 1 GB of RAM and a large 4.7-inch Super LCD 1280×720 touchscreen display.

Moreover, the upcoming handset is expected to hit shelves with CDMA 1X, EV-DO Rev 0/A/B (UE category 3) and LTE Band class 25 (PCS A-G blocks) connectivity capabilities, as well as with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

Rumor has it that it will also include a solid polycarbonate body, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, and NFC capabilities.

HTC One X was previously officially announced for AT&T’s network with the same dual-core application processor inside, and with LTE connectivity options.

Apparently, the quad-core Tegra 3 application processor that One X will pack in other markets around the world does not offer compatibility with the LTE networks in the US, and this is why HTC and its carrier partners decided to replace it with a dual-core chip.

Sprint might indeed launch the new device on June 10th, since this timeframe falls in line with the release of other devices from the company, including the Evo 4G and the Evo 3D. No details on whether this new phone will be included in the Evo line have emerged so far.
