The problem could result in lack of connectivity or fast draining battery

Apparently, Apple’s iPhone is not the only device that has connectivity issues when held in certain ways.

HTC’s One X smartphone is reportedly affected by similar problems, but only when it comes to its Wi-Fi antenna.

An XDA-Developers member has found that the device could suffer from severe Wi-Fi issues that could easily result in fast drain of battery life, or which could affect handset’s ability to connect to wireless networks.

To check whether the handset is affected, users would simply have to “gently [squeeze] the side back of your phone, between the camera lens and the volume buttons.” If the signal’s strength improves for a short while, the phone is affected.

Those who own flawed devices should exchange them for new ones. If they cannot do that, they might want to try the (fairly complicated) solution said user proposes, which is being detailed on Android Guys.
