The smartphones will be available via Airtel carrier

HTC promised that its One series of Android smartphones will be available on the market starting April. The Taiwanese handset manufacturer stated that it had teamed up with more than 140 carriers worldwide to offer its new ICS-based handsets.

Well, the company is about to add one more partnership as HTC is reportedly in talks with Indian operator Airtel to offer customers data plans with the One series smartphones.

According to The Mobile Indian, citing Manu Seth, country head, marketing, HTC India, HTC One X, S and V will be released in Singapore on March 30, while in India they will be introduced in the first week of April.

HTC will be launching Android Ice Cream Sandwich based smartphones One X, One V and One S in Singapore on March 30 and in first week of April they would be available in Indian market.”

HTC’s official also confirmed it was about to strike a deal with Airtel: “HTC is also in talks with Airtel to offer the One series of smartphones with bundled data offer, details for which are being worked out.”

Unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the One series is HTC’s bet for the 2012. The company confirmed it would only release a handful of devices this year and that it had put a lot of work into these upcoming smartphones.

HTC One X, S and V will be launched worldwide and are aimed at different market segments. While the One X is HTC’s high-end smartphone, the One S is aimed at mid-end smartphone market, though it packs a dual-core processor.

HTC One V is the less-featured from the One lineup of smartphones, but not completely “helpless.”

The handset is the spiritual successor of the HTC Legend when it comes to design, and packs a 1GHz single-core processor, 4GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM and a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display.
