Good news for HTC One X+ owners in India, as the Taiwanese handset maker has just kicked off the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean upgrade for their favorite smartphones.

According to AndroidOS, the update is now pushed OTA (over the air) to all HTC One X+ devices in India, but the procedure could take about one week.

HTC announced back in August that it had started to deliver the highly anticipated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to One X+ devices, but it took the update more than a month to reach India.

Keep in mind that this is a major update that contains the new HTC Sense 5 user interface. Software build number 2.18.707.5 is about 408MB in size and can be downloaded over Wi-Fi.

HTC One X+ owners should head over to Settings / About phone / System updates / Check now in order to check for the update’s availability.
